Salvaging Project – Sunken Barge Recovery

Sea Horse Marine Services successfully carried out the salvage operation of a sunken barge near the Gujarat coastline. The barge, which had settled in a silt-heavy, low-visibility marine environment, posed a navigational risk and environmental concern for the surrounding port operations.

Scope of Work:

  • Initial underwater assessment using HD videography and diver inspection

  • Positioning and stabilization of the barge using certified lifting systems

  • Deployment of IMCA/ADAS-certified divers for rigging and underwater cutting

  • Use of hydraulic tools, air lift bags, and controlled winching systems

  • Coordination with port authorities for environmental safety and clearance

  • Successful recovery of the vessel without damage to marine infrastructure

Outcome:

This operation was completed on time with zero safety incidents, reaffirming Sea Horse Marine Services’ commitment to operational excellence in high-risk underwater projects. The barge was fully salvaged and cleared, restoring safe marine access in the area.
